11 Weeks

I am lucky... I will be staying home with Lanie for the next five days. Chuck and Glenda are in Phoenix hanging out with this cute guy:

Lil' Baby Ray Ray

Lanie is growing and continues to do well. I just love hanging out with her. Her neck is getting so strong. I love watching her grow and change. My mom living so close has also been helpful. She can come over and stay with Lanie if we need her. She is lucky to have grandparents all around her.

Last weekend, Jeremy and Leah came to CO and stayed with us for a night. Their little dog, Lulu, loved Lanie. She couldn't get enough of her. It was cute.

Baby Ray

Momma Mary

Poppa Ray

My little nephew, Salvador Raymond Montes IV. Isn't he a cutie??!! I can't wait until we go out to visit in October!!

10 Weeks

Doing my kicks!
Cry me a river...
Kyler and Lanie
I am still waiting on an email from Mary and Ray so I can have some pictures of my new nephew but I know how busy you are when you bring a baby home...I will be patient. Elizabeth was nice enough to watch little Lanie on Thursday because we didn't have sitter. She was super mom that day. She said the only hard time was when they were both crying at the same time (when this picture was taken). I laugh at it everytime I look at it. How cute are they?? Other than that they were perfect angels. What a good friend I have for taking on two babies at once. I really appreciate it!

Shots x 3

All is well with little Lanie Kay and her first set of shots, three in the thighs and one oral vaccination. She gave out a real nice wail but was fine after a minute. She is growing right on schedule. She is just average, about the 50 percentile in everything. The doctor did notice that she favors one side of her head and it is sort of flat. Jeez, she has a flat head and rat tail....poor kid! He then told a story about some Native Americans that purposely put their babies on the papoose board to make their heads flat. Trust me folks, that is not our intention. Lanie will be doing much more tummy time to fix that flat head of hers.

Here are her stats:
Birth: 8lbs and 20 3/4 inches long
Two Months: 10lbs, 10ozs and 24 1/4 inches long

Two Months Tomorrow!!

Maxin' and Relaxin' All Cool
Little Lanie will be two months tomorrow! On Friday, she has her first set of shots...sad day. I am sure it will be just fine, though. It has still been tough leaving her every morning but she is so much fun to hang out with at night. She is taking a little snoozer right now. She is just such a great little girl and great sleeper!! She has taken a hankering to sucking on her fist as she is doing in the picture above. She likes to make loud kissing noises...it is funny, silly girl. Mary is now dilated to a two so I could be an aunt anytime now! I am super excited.

Look at what I can do, Mom!

I lied about nothing else going on...Mary is dialated to a 1...we COULD have a new baby soon or...baby Ray Ray could wait to come until the end of the month.
Snuggle Time with Grandma Patti

I made it through my first week back to work. It is definitely going to be a challenge to work out, get ready, get Lanie ready, eat breakfast, drop her off AND get to work on time. So far the working out part has taken a backseat. The good news is that she has continued to sleep through the night. What a blessing! Lanie will be two months old this week. It is hard to believe that so much time has gone by. Besides that not too much else is new.

I don't want to work! I just want to bang on the drum all day!
That sums up my first two days of school. It has been pretty difficult to leave Lanie. I miss her sweet little face. I miss seeing her smile when she wakes up from her naps. I miss our morning walks with Daddy and the boys. I even miss changing her dirty diapers. I look forward to Saturday when we can hang out all day!

She really loves to hang out in her crib. Sometimes she cries when you take her out. I guess even babies need some alone time.

This shirt says it all!
Lanie's little friends: Rowan, Tressin & Ava
We had our buddies the Starmans and Jakshas over last night for a potluck. Boy I sure love potlucks! So many things to choose from! Having all the little girls over got me thinking of what our house is going to be like in the upcoming months; no longer quiet or clean. Lanie is lucky she will have good friends so close! I go back to work tomorrow...sad day. I will miss spending my days with Lanie. Now the weekends will be more important than ever. Thankfully she continues to sleep through the night.
