Who has the bigger belly? Part 2

Momma vs. Daddy

Momma is victorious but I hope this is the only time in my life that I win this contest!

I went to the doctor on Friday. The baby's heartbeat was 140bpm. She weighs approximately four and a half pounds and measures around 15-16 inches long (according to ivillage.com). I have gained about 22 pounds. Everything seems to be right on track. I made the rest of my appointments for the pregnancy. One of them is the week after the due date...let's hope we don't have to go that one.

We went to a luau baby shower today for Josh & Elizabeth. John decided to wear this sweet hawaiin shirt and asked to be called Magnum. He tried to have mustache to go with the name but didn't have enough growth today. At least he buttoned it up a little so all his chest hair wasn't on display for the world. Someone at the shower today suggested that we should put a link to each other's blog so if you are interested in checking out my good buddy, Elizabeth and her belly, go to http://urich08.blogspot.com

Who has the bigger belly??

Ray or Angy?? I don't know...it may be a tie.

32 Weeks

This weekend was another busy one. We had our marathon Prepared Childbirth class Friday night and all day Saturday. The experience was good and I am glad we did it. There weren't too many surprises except that John didn't complain once about having to go. Weird, I know. We learned laboring techniques, toured the birth center, watched some videos and best of all saw a newborn baby girl. Oh, the second best was when John wore the sympathy belly. He had to wear the 38 pounds for over an hour. He didn't say much about it but he shifted in his chair a lot and said his butt hurt....hee hee. I wish I could have checked that thing out and made him wear it all weekend. I'm not too worried about delivery...thousands of babies are born everyday. It will be painful but holding our baby will be the reward. I am just so darn excited to meet our little baby girl...only 55 days!

Last week, my principal informed me that I will be moving to second grade next year. I will have a busy summer. I have to learn a new grade, have all new teaching partners, move my classroom, figure out how to set up a second grade classroom as well write sub plans with a newborn baby. It should all prove to be very interesting. The biggest bummer is my good buddy, Elizabeth, will going to fourth grade. I do know one of my teaching partners and she is wonderful so that will make things easier. It will all work out in the end (as my mom likes to say) and I am looking at the move positively.

Cameron Baby Shower

So... I have been super spoiled lately. The school threw a shower for Elizabeth and I today. Once again, the generosity of my friends is unbelievable and greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for all of the great gifts and the party! The cake was not only adorable but really delicious, too! I think we are pretty well set to have this baby. All we need now is the baby.

We had a pretty busy weekend! On Saturday, we were thrown an amazing and wonderful baby shower. At one point we were like sardines in here. It was packed. Needless to say, we had a really great time and truly appreciate all the gifts you brought for us and our little baby girl. We are so grateful for all of the FANTASTIC friends and family that we have! We sure are lucky! On Sunday, we spent some time with the Kinyon's. Mary and Ray were in town this weekend. They announced that they will be having a boy...arriving around September 16, Salvador Raymond Montes IV. I worried that our ultrasound may have been wrong until...I saw what a boy ultrasound looks like. Yeah, we are definitely having a girl. By Sunday night I was super duper tired!! I am still busy working in the nursery to get everything put away. I will get some new pictures of it after I get it arranged. I also LOVED reading everyone's comments they wrote in the books for little Lanie. My favorite is in the book, Click, Clack, Moo: "Cows that type. That is silly!" by Kirsten. Too cute!

30 Weeks

Our baby weighs approximately three pounds and measures 14 inches from head to toe. Her eyes may now be wide open. She may even have hair! John decided he needed a belly shot. It's getting big. I am still feeling great. I have been trying to keep up with my walking; a mile or more a day is my goal. The boys are really good at enforcing this. They are always ready for a walk.
