She's so little. Crazy to think that just six months ago, Lanie was that small.

Oh the happy little one! She is really moving around. I don't think it will be long before we see her crawling. She is able to move around to get to any toy that she wants. It is pretty thrilling to watch. John is out of town all week for work. Sad day...week. The mornings should be interesting. I wouldn't be surprised if we are tardy a couple of days this week.

Miss Lanie is donning a 1950's couture hand crocheted pink dress by designer Great Grandma Millie. It has been passed down from generation to generation. It was originally made for her Grandma Patti. It has been worn by her Uncle Cale (tee hee) as well as her Auntie Stacy.

Watch out world...here comes Lanie. She is one the move. She has figured out how to get around; roll after roll then twist and turn. I guess our job as parents just got a little more difficult.

Lanie saw the doctor for her six month shots today. Everything is going well. He didn't have any concerns and she has grown quite a bit. Interesting to me...as the doctor was asking what she could do he asked if she could transfer objects from one hand to the other and I guess I had never thought about it. He handed her a tongue depressor and she did it right then and there for him. I think she impressed him. That's my girl. I think she gets that show off attitude from her daddy! ;)

Length at birth: 20 3/4 inches

Head circumference at birth: 13 1/2 inches

Weight at birth: 8lbs, then 7lbs.

Miss Lanie Kay is six months old today. She will always have to celebrate her half birthday at school since she was born in the summer like her momma. Not doing anything for your birthday at school is the only bummer about summer birthdays. Boy how time flies. She is growing so fast and amazing us everyday. Her new thing...she loves to scream and squeal with delight. It is so loud sometimes. She is a very happy baby which we are very grateful for. The best part of my day is getting her up in the morning; there's always a huge smile on her face. Changing her diaper has become a challenge. She seems to think she should roll all over the place. No crawling yet but she has definitely found ways to move. She must be growing...she is constantly hungry. It seems her favorite food is avocado. She eats that stuff up.
