Family Fun

Abby and her boyfriend, Tyler, are out for a visit. Yesterday, we took a trip up the canyon to Estes Park. Even though I live here and look at the mountains daily, I sometimes forget how majestic and magnificent they are. I was pleased because we were able to see elk as well as bighorn sheep. John and I made a trip up there when I was 38 weeks pregnant. I thought it would be cute to have a picture with Lanie at the same spot.

Elvis has left the building...

Along with some of my brain cells. It was a big week for us. Lanie turned eight months on Wednesday, we went to Vegas for Jess & Robert's wedding and we spent our first nights away from the baby. Oh yeah, we also got a new car because the old one was just too unreliable for commuting. We got a cute Nissan Rogue. Fun and it has the new car smell. Lanie is growing so fast and changing everyday. This week she started waving hello and bye. It is too cute and makes me smile every morning when I drop her off at the Grandparents. As for leaving Lanie it went really well. My mom stayed with her here at the house and she sent me text message pictures. As for the wedding, it was great! Just a little background info: Jess and I have been friends since the fifth grade. Pretty cool, I think. Anyways, at our wedding, she caught the bouquet and Robert caught the garter. It was destiny. We stayed downtown on the trip and we were pleasantly surprised on how great it is down there. I purchased this sweet Elvis wig and sunglasses. Personally, it was the best spent money in Vegas. There were laughs to be had by all. Yes, I will let you try it on next time you come over the house.

My Little Busy Body

Lanie is crawling everywhere. She likes to see what the neighbors are doing. She is also beginning to pull herself up on various things. She bumped her head real good on Saturday. It was sad. I am sure there will be a lot more of this since she isn't quite sure how to manipulate her legs for balance.
