Momma loves her baby.
33 Weeks

I bought Lanie these cowboy boots a long time ago even though I knew they wouldn't fit until she is probably seven. She found them in her closet and insisted on putting them on. She is real funny. One thing she does recently that makes me laugh, she tries to jump in place but isn't quite ready. She can't get off the ground. It is adorable to watch. She also walks up to Buzz and throws her body across his. It is too funny. He just stands there.
Her new favorite things to say:
baby
hi baby
bye bye baby
mom,dad,mom,dad,mom,dad
ice
no, no momma
no, no papa
I help mom
I help dad
bottle (every cup, glass, drink and water from the faucet falls into this category)

Visit from Iowa

My Aunt Diane came out for a visit last weekend.

Cousin Roary

Cousin Roary (7 months) came over for visit this past week.
Lanie (19 months) and Big Momma (32 weeks)

Grandma Patti & Roary

32 Weeks, 5 Days

John and I visited the OB/GYN today as well as the ultrasound technician. At our 20 week ultrasound, my placenta was close to my cervix and my doctor said I would need another ultrasound at 32 weeks to be sure it had moved. They said about 99% move as the uterus grows and luckily we fell into that 99%. Everything is progressing normally. His heartbeat was normal as well but I don't recall what it was. We were also lucky...the tech practiced some 4D techniques on baby and we got this wonderful picture of him. Technology is WONDERFUL! Yes, it is still a him. I had her check. Whew...I am relieved. I have heard the stories of a different sex coming out in the end. The pictures we saw today were AMAZING! It made me cry. I am excited to meet this little guy!!! So is Lanie...she likes to go in his room and repeat, "baby, baby, baby" over and over.

Lovin' the igloo tent

Family time in the tent

Lanie loves parachute time at her tumbling class so I thought I would bring home the one I had at school. She had a blast. We just need a couple more people.

Lanie loves to color!

All is well in the Kinyon household. Lanie is growing and changing everyday. She started going to a new daycare lady, Sheri, last month and she loves it there. She only cried the first day and has been fine since. In August, both kids will go to her house. She has also started the class Tumble, Rattle, and Roll at the community center. Papa Kinyon takes her every Tuesday for 45 minutes and I think they both love it. She has learned a lot and Papa is good at doing the homework with her.
Baby boy may have a name and it is not Leonidas! I think we may have comprised on the name Collin. I don't know for sure on the spelling or the middle name yet. I just think we are doing well to move past the Spartan and Greek themed names. I am 31 weeks this week and ready for the baby to come. Well maybe not ready for the baby but ready for this huge belly to go away. It gets in the way a lot at work and I bump into the kids, which is sort of humorous. John finished painting the nursery so now we need to assemble the crib and dresser.
On another note, if you have not heard, the government is making DEEP, DEEP cuts in education this school year and next. It is not looking good for kids, schools or teachers. After 90 years, my school Cameron will be closing this summer. Cameron will merge with another elementary and all of the students will be housed in a current middle school. I am lucky that I will have a job in the fall but there are possibly many teachers who will lose their jobs. It is frustrating that so many cuts are being made but the President is launching his new "Race to the Top" plan. How are we expected to have all of our kids at the top when class sizes are enormous, we are short staffed and under funded? We shall see how all it all pans out.
