Yum...chew toys!

I like to eat, eat, eat apples and bananas. I like to eat, eat, eat apples and bananas.
I like to ate, ate, ate ay-ples and ba-nay-nays. I like to ate, ate, ate ay-ples and ba-nay-nays.
I like to eat, eat, eat ee-ples and bee-nee-nees. I like to eat, eat, eat ee-ples and bee-nee-nees.

She really does like to eat apples and bananas as well as dog bones. Her new thing...she has been refusing food lately. She simply takes what she doesn't like out of her mouth and tosses it. What a stinker!! The dogs are loving it though!

Folks, we have ourselves a walker!

I took a little video of Lanie walking on the sidewalk in front of our house tonight. She is almost exclusively walking now. It is pretty fun to watch!

Fun in the sun

Since today has been one of the nicest days we have had so far, Lanie and I spent some time in the backyard exploring and playing catch with her soccer ball. She loves to crawl up and down the stair. I also turned the sprinkler on for her to play in.

Lanie and Momma cuddling on Sunday.
It was the first night that she has been real sick. She threw up five times. It was not fun changing her bedding three times, washing three loads of laundry or giving her bath late in the evening. She seems to be feeling better today. I think the culprit may be her top tooth trying to poke through. Yes, I think she is going to get her top teeth before her bottom. Interesting....

Sunny and 70 today...finally!

French kisses from Buzz
What rock can I eat next?

Splish splashin' at the water park

Our friend, Tressin turned two this past week and had her birthday party at the splash park in Loveland today. Lanie loved it. She wanted to crawl around on everything and probably ate 100 cheesy goldfish. The only problem, Lanie likes to put everything in her mouth...including rocks. Most of my time was spent digging them out of her mouth. As soon as she is fully walking, we will make a trek back there.

Ouch!

The big baby!
Again...why buy toys when she loves to play with the dogs chew toys??
Here Buzz...I will share!

Last night, Lanie and I decided to go watch Daddy play softball even though it was at seven and it was past her bedtime. About half way through the game, John threw the softball to make a double play. Instantly, I knew something was wrong and I headed straight to the dugout. His arm was limp and he was obviously in pain. We packed up and headed to urgent care, thinking they could help pop his shoulder back into the socket. Over an hour later they sent us to the ER in Loveland. Mind you, John still has had little relief from his dislocated shoulder. He is sweating bullets, white, and I also teased him that he looked a bit like the hunchback guy in the movie 300 because he was stuck in a curled up weird position. Long story short...hanging out in the ER with an eleven month old baby is not fun. She did a fabulous job but did not go to bed until midnight. No, she did not sleep a wink at the hospital. She just wanted to show off her mad walking skills. On the drive home John was pretty drugged up and said, "Now you have two babies to take care of". Oh really, like that is something new. Softball is over for the season and golf is on hold for a month. On the plus side, now Daddy can go to the pool with Mommy and Lanie!

I like to move it, move it!

Everyday Lanie takes more and more steps in a row. It is so great to watch. Tonight, she even thought she should carry her favorite book and a pillow from the couch while she walked.

Weekend at the cabin!! :)

Ready for a walk

Momma and Lanie

Momma...look at this stick I am about to eat!

Goin' on a Bear Hunt. I'm not afraid. It's a beautiful day. The sun is shining! The birds are singing. The bees are buzzing.

Yippee!! I love the cabin!

John's parents have a cabin near Nederland that Chuck's grandparents built in the early 1900's. It is wonderful. Lanie made her first trip up there this past weekend. Actually her second trip...the first was in utero. We fished, crawled around, played, hiked, ate dirt, chewed rocks, gnawed sticks, got dirty, screamed, froze in the mornings, shared laughs, hung out with the Burns, saw a deer and had all around great time. It is hard to not have a good time up there. It is so beautiful!!

Cruising and taking steps!

Lanie is starting to test out walking. She has taken five steps in a row that I have seen. Notice what she is holding in her hand...her favorite hat.
