Elizabeth and
Kyler came over today to play. It was too chilly to play outside, so we had to make fun inside. Since the kids love to color we got out all the art supplies. I think Lanie could color for hours over the course of the day and I think she might have today. Her hands were covered in marker most of the day.
Lanie's favorite things in life right now: playing outside with sidewalk chalk, coloring with markers, taking baths, drinking water with ice, eating goldfish "ish", following mom every where she goes, applying chapstick, reading the book-How Do Dinosaurs Say Goodnight?, standing on her stool to "help mom" make breakfast and lunch, singing....singing...singing and for some reason she likes when her mom sings to her, she always asks for more, weird, I know.
I went to the doctor on
Thursday. I am now 37 weeks. Only 17 days to go...I hope. I can't handle the frequent trips to the restroom much longer. I guess instead of the restroom, I will soon be heading to a crying baby. I should not complain. Life is pretty easy right now. It was the first appointment that I have had to bring Lanie to. That was interesting. She screamed when we had to leave the waiting room toys, put a collection of little blue cups from the bathroom in my purse and cried when we had to leave. She did enjoy listening to the baby's heartbeat. Everything is right on track. I go back on Friday for my next appointment.

Lanie loves chalk and playing outside!!
I had my 38 week appt last Friday. No news. My belly measured normal and the heartbeat was normal as well. Now it is just the waiting game. I have my next appt on Thursday.

Lanie got this paint with water book from her Grandpa Patti and just loves it. I love it too, no mess! She just adores this Hello Kitty jacket. The zipper has a cat on it and she zips it up and down while saying, "meow". Pretty cute! We have really enjoyed the short spurts of warm weather this weekend. We spent time outside coloring with sidewalk chalk. It is a messy activity but she loves it and I love the fresh air! I can't wait for spring!!
Lanie's new favorite thing to do....pull off her socks, put a CHEEZ-IT between her toes and then eat it out of her toes. It is hard to not laugh but I have refrained in front of her with the exception of this picture. Getting her hands clean after a meal is hard enough, I don't want to start washing toes after every meal too.
