Mommy's Little Helper

Tidying up with the Shamwow.

Lanie has been a real mini-me lately. Yesterday, I was flossing my teeth and then she wanted to floss. Today, she brought me perfume and wanted some sprayed on her. While cleaning up today she took her towel around and scrubbed things. The funniest one...she wants to put lotion on her belly just like mommy.

Merry Christmas

My belly at 25 weeks. He very active from 8pm to 11pm. I hope that doesn't hold true after he is born.
Opening presents with Mommy and Daddy. She was very concerned about getting the paper in the garbage right away.

Lanie loves her new art center. She drew a fancy picture for her Grandpa Adams who had to work today.

Momma missed it!

Lanie had her first pee in her potty chair.

I was changing her into her pj's and decided to have her sit on her chair for a bit. She sat there for a few minutes and not even thinking about it checking for potty, we went about our business. It wasn't until after she went to bed that Auntie Becky brought it to our attention. I was doubtful but sure enough she has gone potty and I went about cleaning it up. Next time, I will know to check and give lots of praise.

I guess we will have to give it a try again tomorrow.

Let it snow!

Helping Daddy shovel this morning.

Bounce!

Yesterday we went to Bounce! a crazy, child filled building full of blow up slides and jumping castles. Lanie loved it. Her favorite was the inflatable slide. We, yes, we climbed up that thing some twenty times. I was exhausted and it wasn't me who took the nap when we got home. Next time I am bringing John along so he can do all the climbing.

Fun day Monday

Lanie & Kyler at the pool....shivering.
Lanie doesn't look pleased in this picture but she had a blast and loved swimming. This part of the pool has periodic waterfalls...neither one of us enjoyed that part. We will definitely make another trip to the pool in the near future.

My little climber. I had the camera in the kitchen and got this picture just after Lanie climbed into her high chair unassisted. SHE IS INTO EVERYTHING!! Hence the reason she is in the cupboard. I couldn't keep her out of the pyrex dishes so I gave in and cleaned it out. She loves it and it allows me to get dinner made.

Enjoying some fresh air

Lanie loves playing outside. When it is cold or her hands are frozen from picking up too much snow she says, "brr".

Thanksgiving Day

Hanging with my primo hermano, Sal. This is the only way to get a picture of them both. They are always on the move.
Momma, Lanie and Daddy.
I usually let Dad hold the baby but we made a trip to the ER on Wednesday morning because his shoulder came out of the socket...AGAIN, he took off his sling for the picture. He is now visiting the orthopaedic doctor to see what we need to next. We hope it isn't surgery but the doctor says it will most likely happen again. We will know more after we find out the results of his MRI.

Roary and Lanie.
Lanie decided that Roary needed to wear her daddy's hat. Roary is now nearly five months old.

He went to Jared....

Corny but true! John and I celebrated our four year wedding anniversary yesterday and he bought me a beautiful diamond anniversary ring. This year it fell on Thanksgiving so we spent the day with our families instead of on some hot date. I suppose one night soon I will have Grandma Susan watch Lanie so we can have a date night.

On another note, my belly is growing...FAST! I don't suppose it has something to do with my insatiable sweet tooth. I currently have three different types of candy in the house and I really enjoy kettle corn on a daily basis. I am 21 weeks now and our little boy is real active. According to the books, he is roughly 7 inches long and weighs 10 ounces. Everyday I amazed by the miracle of life growing inside my belly and the wild baby I have running around the house.

It's a ....

BOY!!!

Profile
An arm and leg

The "IT'S A BOY" picture

John and I went to the OB doctor today for the 20 week ultrasound. It didn't take the technician long to decide that we were expecting a boy. All of the pictures and measurements show that he is healthy and growing just as he should be. The only concern my doctor had was with my placenta. He said it is very close to my cervix. I will need to have another ultrasound at 30 weeks to check it. He didn't seem overly worried and said it would most likely be fine by the time of his birth. Now the real hard part...what are we going to name him???

Monday, November 16, 2009

My dad recently gave us one of our family heirlooms. This baby stroller was my Grandma Jean's toy when she was a child. It has been played with by numerous children through the years including my Grandma Jean, my Dad, Aunt Paulette, Stacy, Lanie and soon Roary.

Look at my new trick! I love to climb on the chairs and sit at the table like a big girl.
Reading with my Auntie Becky

Chillin' with my buds, Rowan and Tressin

GUESS WHO IS 30??? Now that he is in his 30's he can't give me as much grief about being so old.

Our little cheerleader! Too bad this adorable outfit couldn't help the Broncos win.

Cozy Cow Dairy

Lanie's first encounter with a cow. After visiting the cow, we gladly indulged in one of the great products of the cow....ICE CREAM! Lanie loved her cup of Birthday Cake Delight and so did I!
Not too far from our home there is dairy. They have a petting area, milking room and best of all homemade ice cream. We took a trip over there today with Elizabeth and Kyler.

Halloween

Kyler and Lanie enjoying the beautiful day.

Perro Caliente! Delicioso!
Uncle Ray is teaching little Sal Spanish as well as English.

Lanie practicing to be Picasso.

I love to eat snow!!! Yum! The weather was beautiful yesterday...in the high 60's but there was still tons of snow. Lanie ate handful after handful.

The Kinyon Winter Wonderland

Wonder what happens when I try to eat snow???

We got to try out those new snow pants and boots after all! We have our fingers crossed for a snow day at school tomorrow.

Lanie is obsessed with this animal book!
Phew! Raking is hard work!

I can't wait to try out my new boots! Maybe tomorrow!!
I have been feeling flutters. The baby is definitely moving around and growing like crazy. One of my pregnancy books estimates that the baby is about five inches long. John has his names chosen: Leonidas and Clarice. Of course, I veto both of those names but it is nice that he put some thought into it.

Pumpkin Patch

My pumpkin!

Lanie and Kyler on a pumpkin hunt!

Today Elizabeth, Kyler, Lanie and I made a trip over to the pumpkin patch outside of Milliken. The kids had a blast running around and touching the pumpkins. Lanie didn't want to leave.
