Lanie is pretty shy when she first meets you but once she warms up, it is on. Today she met Jamie, my hairstylist. She said that I had to get my haircut first and she watched timidly as I got a trim. When it was her turn she was not too excited to get into the chair. We decided that she could see the fancy vacuum in the wall and have a special treat when she finished if she would sit nice for Jamie. She did a great job and her special treat turned out to be a fancy toothbrush...hmmm better than candy says the mommy!

Since I will be moving to 3rd grade next year, I figured I would bring home one of my kindergarten big books for the kids. They love looking at the pictures and fighting over it. They are both very interested in books right now.

Collin's One Year Check Up...a little late!

Collin had his one year check up today. I had to work so Daddy was in charge of this one. Here are the details, well as much as the Daddy reports:

Tall and skinny!

71% for height

42% for weight-23.3 pounds

Darn it...six shots! He is super healthy! We are grateful!!

Growing up so fast!

We are working on our fine motor skills; Collin, holding a fork and Lanie holding a pencil. School is out for me on Friday. Starting on Monday, May 23 we will have lots of time to fine tune these skills and work on many other new ones. We are ready for play dates and trips to the park to all of those interested!
