Ode to Kinyon

Got a cute little find at Country Jam...a lady who took pictures of letters occurring all around us . She said she took all the pictures of the letters and it took her two years to get all of them. I decided to change it up and make this the focal point in our dining room. Now that I think of it...someone said to themself, hmmm...the ransom note...let's make that into art! Oddly appealing and beautiful!

Rainy Day!

Lanie asked if she could play in the rain this afternoon and of course we could not deny her the opportunity. I loved playing in the rain as a child. She ran around the front yard and splashed in the puddles. She came in the house all soggy and she loved every minute of it!!

More Mommy, More

We finally have Collin using his sign language signs consistently. We only expect two: more and all done so it is about time. Perhaps we can add in a few more but I would really like him to start talking. At the moment he has a few words: dogs, uh oh, yes, no. Mostly he is good at screaming a high pitched scream at the top of his lungs when he is happy and when he is upset.

Coloring Fun

Collin's first time coloring. As you can see he couldn't resist tasting the markers. He had a lot of fun.

Evidently the baby had to potty. I found her doll in the bathroom and it gave me a chuckle. Lanie is so funny. Lately she has been waiting for the bus. She has some bags packed and everything. The bus is going to take her to visit Sal and Bella. She even said that she would like a pink suitcase for her birthday. She rode the bus on our visit to Steamboat and it was obviously quite memorable for her.

Birthday Countdown

Lanie is very excited for her birthday this year unfortunately she has no concept of time. I decided to do a kindergarten project and make a chain to count down the days. She tore off her first link this morning.

Mary, Ray, Sal & Isabella were here over the weekend for a visit. Lanie and Sal played together so well and had a blast. Lanie loved holding little Bella. Isabella is as sweet as ever and always has a big smile on her face.

Big Girl Bed...the next day!

A very excited Lanie went to bed in her big girl bed and a screaming crying Lanie woke me at 3am because she had "rolled" not fallen out her bed. So guess who got to be the human bed rail for the rest of the night....the momma! So we may be off to the store today to get another rail for the other side of the bed. I need my rest!

We decided for Lanie's upcoming third birthday that we would make her bed into a real big girl bed. I got busy finding the bed rails to do the job. They arrived today and I couldn't wait until July to put it together. Lanie was so excited through the whole process.

Summer Has Begun!

I don't feel like it is summer until we officially get out the pool and splash around. It was finally warm enough to do that thing today. It is nearly 90 degrees outside. The kids loved it! Collin has learned how to climb onto the chairs and is no longer happy sitting in his high chair so he now sits with us at the table for meals.
