We love time at the family cabin.

We all know I love Pinterest.  I roped John into this project.  We collect 80 + year old wood from around the cabin and John made this project come to life.  I love it!!

Riding bikes is Lanie and Collin's favorite early evening activity!

We spent a lot of time at the pool.  Each morning the kids had swim lessons at the high school then afterwards we would head to pool in our development.  They love to do cannonballs!  It is pretty funny.

Last weekend, our friends invited us to swim at the private lake in their development.  It was the first lake the kids had ever swam in. They were very brave and jumped off the dam, numerous times.

 This is my favorite picture from Abby's wedding. I saw a similar one on Pinterest and I knew I wanted to have one taken of us.  I think it turned out pretty cute!

We spend a lot of time outdoors, day and night.  We love the fresh air.

We visited a splash park in Fort Collins.  The kids had a blast.

Projects.  The kids love projects.  They are so creative at such a young age. 

 

Lanie learned to ride her bike this month.  It only took a couple of days and she had it mastered.  She begs us to ride bikes day and night now. 

Collin is fully potty trained day and night!!  We are done with diapers!!

Our Mini Vacation

On Sunday, after all of the wedding festivities were finished we decided to take a different route home.  We visited the Black Hills, Sturgis, Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse.  All which the kids and I had never seen.  It was quite interesting.  The best part...the rain actually cleared away briefly so we could enjoy our time at Mount Rushmore.  Crazy Horse is going to be sight to be seen once it can be completed.  I only won $7 on that last Powerball drawing.  They are going to need to find someone else to fund that adventure.

We had a wonderful time at the Anderson wedding. Some of our  favorite activities in no particular order and not just from the parents:

Soccer Superstar

At the last game of the season, Lanie scored six, yes six goals!  It was so much fun to watch.

April

Collin and Lanie are currently in soccer here in Johnstown.  I was apprehensive but they have both done a super job.  At their last game, Collin scored one goal and Lanie scored two.  It has been real fun to watch them.  Lanie has been so good at helping Collin feel at ease on the field. 

My friend and colleague, Robin, hatches baby chicks every year.  The kids at school and my kids love it!
