38 Weeks

I had a pretty busy day yesterday, a wedding and a birthday party. Our friends, Corlet & Mark, had a beautiful ceremony in the foothills outside of Masonville. It could not have been more of a perfect day...congratulations to them. Our little friend, Emry, turned 3 yesterday so we also spent some time with our friends the Burns, which is always a good time. I had cake twice yesterday :0 Yummy!

I am getting super anxious for our baby to come. I just can't wait!

Bouncing Baby Boy Kyler

I went to the doctor today and everything seems to be normal: blood pressure, baby's heartbeat and measure of my belly (38 cm). Not too interesting. I go back Thursday, July 3. I did have a couple of contractions last night but nothing consistent. I hope it is a sign that she is ready to come soon but I suppose it is too early to get my hopes up for that.

The best part of today was going to the hospital to visit the Urichs. I held little Kyler so long my arm tired. Our baby was kicking him the butt while I holding him. I told him to cry all he wants and tell his little friend, Lanie, it is time to come out and play with him. He is too precious. Elizabeth is doing well and they will go home tomorrow.

Here is a little video...

The first day of summer...June 21 and 21 days to go!

37 Weeks I never would have imagined my belly would get this big!! Wowzers!!
I went to the doctor yesterday; all is well. Baby's heartbeat was 136bpm...normal. My blood pressure was normal. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. My next appointment is on Friday, June 27. I have an urge to be active...I walked the boys twice this morning. I hope it is a sign but I doubt it. Tonight, we hung out with my Daddy and Patti for a fish fry and belated father's day. Oh yeah, Chip was really funny today...I decided it was finally time to get our bag ready for the hospital. I put the empty bag in the bedroom and Chip decided he was going to take a nap in it. He is just too darn cute!! Right now, he is grooming Buzz by licking and chewing on his ear. I tried to take a video but it was too dark. I uploaded one from last summer instead. Chip isn't particular either he chewed the ear on our friend's puggle last weekend. Those crazy dogs...ya gotta love'em.

That's my Daddy! He likes to tell me the story of when I was born everytime I see him. "I remember the day you were born. It was just like yesterday," he says. More like almost 31 years ago.

9 Months

In the 1920's, John's great grandparents come to CO from Kansas and bought a beautiful piece of land and built a fine cabin just outside of Boulder not too far from Nederland. Each summer they would travel to CO and stay for a couple of weeks and enjoy the fresh mountain air and the breathtaking scenery. We are lucky because we are able to enjoy this as well. John, the boys and I went up for the weekend. It was a great time. We hiked (very slowly, mom) Friday, Saturday and Sunday. While hiking up Peewink on Saturday, we saw a coyote and John saw deer. The boys really enjoyed themselves and were exhausted at the end of each hike. I felt great...we just had to take lots of breaks. The altitude didn't bother me at all. John's Aunt Cindy put together a picture family tree at the clubhouse. John and his grandfather, Calvin Kinyon, have a striking resemblence to each other that we never realized before. They look so much alike; it is pretty crazy. We will have to dig out some more pictures.

This is Peewink mountain that we hiked up on Saturday, taken from the cabin. The second picture is the view looking down on the cabin from the top of Peewink.

There's my nine month pregnant belly & our happy little family.

Happy Father's Day- Daddy, Chuck & John!

30 days...

Amazing to think that there are only 30 days or less left until this baby is due. John and I are both very excited. We are doing really well. I feel great! John has decided that being a milkman is not his life goal and he doesn't like working the nights anymore. It worked well for awhile and the cheap milk was nice but the job isn't so practical when you have a baby on the way. I am relieved that I don't have to worry about him getting home to take me to the hospital if I go into labor during the night. On Monday, he is going to start working for Champion Manufactoring again...selling windows and such. He is also back in school and is currently taking two classes, English and Biology. This means that I am back in school because I have to proofread and help him study. I don't mind; I enyoy learning new things. Needless to say, we shall be pretty busy when our little girl arrives. Right now the dogs are keeping me busy...they are sitting by the front door giving me the stare down...they want their walk. C'mon, mommy, let's go!!! I hope this baby can get into as good of a routine as these dogs.

A Baby Story

It sure is a good thing that we do not have the channel TLC at our house. I have a feeling that I wouldn't get anything else done and would go through a box of tissues everyday. I watched two episodes of A Baby Story today and bawled like the baby on the show. I am so excited for us to have the same experience. Hurry up and get here Baby Kinyon!!!

Rider Ramble 5K & 35 Weeks

Becky, Chuck and I walked the Johnstown Rider Ramble 5K this bright sunny morning. It was very beautiful morning but a tad chilly. Our time was 58 minutes...not too bad for walking and we weren't last. Oh, the fun times you can have in J-Town.

Look at that belly!

Just thinking... my sister-in-law, Mary, had originally planned on getting married this upcoming Saturday. Instead of 6-7-08, they did it back in March...thankfully. Mom gave me the idea of trying on the bridesmaid dress that I wore. At least I know it still would have fit...barely (I didn't dare try the belt on but it did zip all the way up). Wowsers!!

Six weeks to go...

I was thinking about how I felt and looked when I was six weeks pregnant, back in November. I never thought the day would come when my belly would get this big. I thought it would be funny to take a look back to when I was only six weeks into the pregnancy and then what I look like today with only six weeks to go...

Last night, to entertain ourselves, we decided we would give BINGO a shot. Well we won't be back there for at least as long as it takes to forget that we don't really like BINGO, hopefully a long time. It was funny...looking around, we were the youngest people there excluding a couple of children. Needless to say, no one our age goes to BINGO. Unfortunately, we didn't win any money either, oh well.

One of the gifts from our shower is the picture hanging on the wall behind me. Our friend, Steph, made it. She handpainted everything on it. It is so cute and it looks perfect in nursery. Thanks again, Steph!
